Official Practice Round:
The official practice round is Monday, September 17. Call (843) 971-3542 to arrange a practice round starting time.
Qualifying Spots:
The low 10 eligible scorers plus the 2 exempt players will advance to the 41st PGA Professional National Championship in June of 2008.
Championship Field:
Only the contestants who are eligible for the National Championship will be playing for qualifying spots. The 36-hole cut and all prize money will be determined by scores from the entire championship field, regardless if one is eligible for the National Championship or not (i.e. Life Members).
36-Hole Cut:
The field will be reduced to the low 1/3 contestants and ties upon completion of 36 holes. Everyone who makes the cut and returns a final round scorecard will receive a check.
Cocktail Party:
On Monday, September 17, Daniel Island Club is hosting a cocktail party for all contestants from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Spouses are welcome. Please RSVP to the Golf Shop no later than Friday, September 14th at 5:00 PM at (843) 971-3542.
The dress code for the cocktail party is slacks and golf shirts. Denim, shorts, hats, or flip flops will not be permitted.
Contestant Lunch:
Lunch will be served to all contestants on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at The Daniel Island Club.
Dress Code:
The CPGA dress code applies for all tournament and official practice rounds, and all practice facilities.
Measuring Devices:
Distance measuring devices that measure distance ONLY are permitted for the Section Championship. Such devices will NOT be permitted for the National Championship next June.
